Elias Nawawieh, company owner and travel expert, will be your host while visiting the iconic pyramids of Giza, the majestic Sphinx, and the must-see Valley of the Kings in Luxor. At Mount Sinai (St. Catherine's Monastery), we will hike the sunrise view with local monks. Our Guest Speaker for the trip will be the Rev. Dr. Rachel Wrenn is an ordained Lutheran (ELCA) pastor and an Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies. A sought-after presenter, she often speaks at pastoral gatherings and lay church conferences. Dr. Wrenn has written multiple articles on anger in the Psalms and in liturgies, as well as several articles of biblical commentary and preaching for WorkingPreacher.org. She is the co-host of the podcast First Reading, an Old Testament lectionary podcast for preachers and teachers of the Bible (https://firstreadingpodcast.com/). Dr. Wrenn invites and challenges her students to experience both the delights and the difficulties of the biblical text. She is excited and eager to begin our adventure in Egypt. Join Rev. John Bjorge First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach for a unique and meaningful pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Our tour will include visits to biblical and historical sites.
