Upcoming Tours

In February of 2025, we will travel together on a 10-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land.  Our journey will begin with the Galilee region to the places where much of Jesus’ ministry took place and will continue to Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem.  We will end our journey in Jerusalem where Jesus was arrested, crucified, and resurrected.  Along the way, we will see many Old Testament sites as well.   Our tour operator, Elias Nawaweih, is a Palestinian Christian from Bethlehem. He has curated a pilgrimage that will not only help us experience the land, its history, and its archaeology but will also introduce us to the “Living Stones” of the Holy Land. Journey with Pastor Jeff Whillock and people of Bethlehem Lutheran Church as we walk where Paul walked and sail where he sailed.  Our pilgrimage begins in Thessaloniki, where Paul’s first letters were sent.  We’ll gather at Philippi where Lydia heard the Good News and was the first person baptized in Europe, and there we’ll renew our baptisms.  We’ll visit historic Greek Orthodox monasteries in breathtaking Meteora.  We’ll go to Olympia where the ancient Olympics were held.  In Athens we’ll go to Mars Hill where Paul shared the good news of Jesus and the resurrection, as well as the Acropolis and the Panathenaic Stadium.  We’ll sail to Ephesus, where Paul spent much time, and the island of Patmos where tradition holds John received the vision recorded in Revelation, as well as Santorini, Crete and Corinth.  This journey together in faith will be filled with connections with God and early followers of Jesus, amazing history, spectacular scenery, and of course fun companions.
